Gramvousa Island – History, Nature & Sea
Known as the “pirate island”, Gramvousa is not only steeped in legend but also rich in biodiversity. Over 100 bird species and 400 native plants thrive here, making it a key ecological site in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Climb to the Venetian fortress, built in 1579, and enjoy panoramic views of the Cretan Sea. Alternatively, relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters below the cliff, or enjoy lunch on the boat.
Balos Lagoon – Crete’s Natural Wonder
Next, we cruise to the unforgettable Balos Lagoon, a place often compared to the Caribbean due to its vivid blue waters and white-pink sand. Shallow, warm, and surreal in beauty, Balos is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, photography, and simply relaxing in a true paradise.
You'll have about 3 full hours to enjoy this stunning spot before we begin the return journey.

- 05:30–07:30 – Hotel pick-up from Sissi & surroundings
- 08:00 – Short stop at Skaleta for breakfast
- 10:00 – Arrival at Kissamos port, boat departs
- 11:20 – Arrival at Gramvousa (1–1.5 hours stop)
- 13:30 – Arrival at Balos Lagoon (3-hour stop)
- 16:30 – Departure from Balos
- 20:00 – Short stop in Skaleta
- 21:00–22:15 – Return to hotels
During peak season, itinerary may reverse (Balos first, then Gramvousa).
